Donations to the Wish List allow Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation to underwrite the cost of Hospice of Palm Beach County's unanticipated items not included in the annual budget. Some donors choose to underwrite specific items, whereas others make a general donation to the Wish List to be used for identified items and future needs. You can enhance the quality of life for Hospice of Palm Beach County's patients and their families by supporting this program with a gift.

The following are special Wish List items that are needed to enhance patient care delivery and improve professional development:

One (1) computer The laptop will give the Supportive Care Department the capablility of completing creative projects for the Music Therapy Department as well as creative endeavors throughout Supportive Care.
Cost: $2000.00

One (1) computer Clinical educators will use the computer to present and conduct competencies for hospice staff to ensure quality patient care.
Cost: $600.00

Twenty (20) oximeters monitor the oxygen saturation of patients.
Cost:$3500.00 or $175.00 each

Five (5) machines Used to measure clotting factor, the machines are used in the home and test results can be read at that moment. No need for drawing of blood or lab testing.
Cost: $3635.00 or $727.00 each

Two (2) Used for stress reduction with home patients.
Cost: $140.00 or $70.00 each

Ten (10) bags Used by Business Development Representatives for transporting educational material and brochures when visiting referral sources ie: hospitals, physician offices, SNF/ALF facilities.
Cost: $420.00 or $42.00 each

One (1) camcorder Used by music therapist for multimedia legacy projects for patients and families.
Cost: $340.00

One (1) CD-ROM to keep music therapists current on latest research and development in the field and practice of Music Therapy.
Cost: $120.00

One (1) projector Used by external educator to teach
about hospice and end of life in nursing homes, hospitals and other locations in the community.
Cost: $700.00

Two (2) keyboards Used in the field with patients and families to enhance music therapy work.
Cost: $640.00 or $320.00 each

Songbooks and music therapy literature to expand our in-house library.
Cost: $300.00

Twenty-five (25) books A book written by a chaplain and used as a resource for the Chaplains of Hospice of Palm Beach County to alleviate spiritual pain.
Cost: $425.00 or $17.00 each

Four (4) iPods and docking stations Used by Integrative Therapists in the field for patient chosen relaxation music.
Cost: $140.00 per iPod and $70.00 per iPod dock
