  Matt Lauer Raises Awareness for Hospice of Palm Beach County with the 11th Annual Jay Robert Lauer Golf Tournament and Ermenegildo Zegna Evening Bookmark and Share

NBC Today Show co-anchor Matt Lauer celebrated the 11th Anniversary of the Jay Robert Lauer Golf Tournament and Ermenegildo Zegna Evening with 600 supporters including Bryant Gumbel, Michelle McGann, Paul Szep and Steve Walsh December 12-13, 2008 at The Breakers Palm Beach. In appreciation for the support given to his father and his family, Matt has spent the last 11 years supporting Hospice of Palm Beach County and doing whatever he can to increase awareness and the benefits of Hospice care. Proceeds of more than $1.75 million have been raised from this event over the years, significantly benefiting Hospice of Palm Beach County’s patient care programs.

The two-day golf tournament hosted 200 players on The Breakers Golf Course. First place of the golf tournament went to foursome: Dan Wolansky, Bob Killian, Craig Russey, and John Tolan. On Saturday, guests of the Ermenegildo Zegna Evening enjoyed a reception and silent auction, followed by dinner, and dancing to Wes Cox and Encore. A highlight of the evening was the presentation to Matt Lauer of a caricature of his father Bob drawn by two-time Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist Paul Szep. Debbie Rosamelia won the 2 year lease on a BMW 128i Coupe, donated by Braman Motorcars, Palm Beach.
