"The Jay Robert Lauer Hospice and Palliative Care Unit was our first inpatient unit at a Palm Beach County hospital,” said Dave Fielding, President and CEO of Hospice of Palm Beach County. “With a major goal of ours being to provide comfort to our patients, it was necessary to update this unit. We hope our patients and families feel more at home here.”
The 12-bed unit with all private rooms was first opened in 2001. The new rooms have cherry wood cabinets, soft tones throughout the walls, furniture and linens and flat screen televisions.
