Fountains Country Club Golf Tournament and Dinner benefits Hospice of Palm Beach County $70,000 Raised for Patient Care Programs The 27th annual Fountains Golf Tournament and Dinner was held recently at the Fountains Country Club in Lake Worth. Sonny Bilkis served as Chairman, with Herb Krieger as Co-Chairmen. This year’s event raised $70,000, bringing the total donated to Hospice of Palm Beach County’s patient care programs to $1,400,000 over the past 27 years.![]()
This year's golf tournament hosted 112 players in an 18 hole and a 9 hole Scramble Golf Tournament. More than 200 guests enjoyed a reception, dinner, and comedy show emceed by ESPN Radio 760's own Steve Politziner. Committee Members were: Sheldon Levine, Gerald Portnoy, Joyce Wallach, Joel Keslow, Marian Green, Jerry Luft, Marilyn Luft, Daisy Kantrowitz, Al Bass and Susie Poll.
Event sponsors included: The Mall at Wellington Green, Regions Bank, Nicklaus Golf, Statewide Commercial Insurance, Charles Schwab, Capri at Palm Beach, Inc., Hoffman’s Chocolate Shoppes, and Chik-fil-A.
