We have several recognition opportunities available at the Charles W. Gerstenberg Hospice Center. When donations in memory of a loved one reach $2,500, the individual's name is placed in the Book-of-Life displayed in the lobby of the Gerstenberg Center. The Adopt-a-Tree program honors those with cumulative memorial donations of $5,000 or greater. An engraved plaque is placed beside a tree in the Helen L. Messic Meadow located next to the Gerstenberg Center. Names are also added to the memorial wall in the atrium of the Charles W. Gerstenberg Center for cumulative donations of $10,000, $20,000 and $50,000.

So that we can further enhance our patients' enjoyment of the outdoors, we have built a beautiful walkway which winds throughout the Helen L. Messic Meadow located next to the Charles W. Gerstenberg Hospice Center. This pathway is constructed of commemorative bricks honoring patients, families, friends and our staff. For a one-time gift of either $250 or $500 (make gift), donors may purchase a brick in memory or in honor of someone special to create a lasting impression for years to come.

Additionally, beautiful stained glass works of art are displayed in each of our inpatient units. Each piece is unique and truly a view to remember. For a one-time gift of $1,000 (make gift), donors have the opportunity to list the name of a loved one on a plaque mounted on the frame on each side of the stained glass piece. Contributions raised are used to offset the operating costs of each respective unit.
